Job summary

Lookout Housing and Health Society is hiring a Tenant Support Worker to assist residents at Cordova Residence. You will help residents access services, create support plans, and promote independence while following Lookout’s ethics and safety guidelines.

Role requires respirator fit testing and compliance with WorkSafeBC requirements; being clean-shaven is necessary for a proper seal. Responsibilities include intake work, crisis intervention, and coordinating basic needs with residents.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Community Social Service required.
• Criminal Record Clearance – Vulnerable Sector required.
• Two years sobriety if applicable or equivalent experience.
• OFA 1 First Aid Certificate desirable.
• Food Safe Certificate if required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in tenant intakes and provide support services and assessments.
• Develop service plans and crisis intervention; manage finances and medications as needed.
• Ensure basic needs are met and support long-term independence for residents.
• Complete required paperwork and maintain data for evaluation.
• Assist volunteers and practicum students on site.
• Occasional external work; driving may be required.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and maintain a safe environment.
