Lookout Housing and Health Society is seeking a casual Janitor/Maintenance Worker at Cordova Residence in Vancouver. You will ensure cleanliness and proper function of mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems on site.

The role requires respirator fit testing readiness and adherence to COR health and safety standards; shifts include days, afternoons/evenings and overnights, with two weeks notice for schedule changes.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum Grade 12 education plus 2 years related experience.
• Building Service Worker Diploma is an asset.
• Current Occupational First Aid Level 1 Certificate.
• Criminal Record Clearance – Vulnerable Sector required.
• Able to work independently or in a team.

Aufgaben

• Perform janitorial tasks: sweeping, cleaning, disinfecting surfaces.
• Manage waste and recycling; keep common areas tidy.
• Monitor and maintain building equipment and facilities.
• Repair and upkeep suites, plumbing, landscaping, and related tasks.
• Assist new staff and supervise volunteers; support guests.
• Work mainly indoors with some external duties on premises.
• Adhere to health and safety policies; stay alert during shifts.
• Cooperate with colleagues to meet guest needs.
