Job summary

Lookout Housing and Health Society is seeking a Tenant Support Worker (TSW) in Abbotsford to assist residents toward greater independence and stability within a supportive housing setting. You will work under the Site Manager with residents, providing education, assistance, and skills training to foster healthier living arrangements.

This role requires respirator fit testing and compliance with WorkSafeBC safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Community Social Service or equivalent required.
• Two years sobriety if alcohol/drug issues.
• Criminal Record Clearance – Vulnerable Sector.
• Class 5 BC Driver's License if required.
• OFA 1 First Aid Certificate; Food Safe if required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with intake, provide support and assessments.
• Develop service plans, crisis intervention, manage finances and medication.
• Help residents meet basic needs and promote independence.
• Complete paperwork and collect/maintain data for reporting.
• Support volunteers and practicum students on site.
• Occasional external work and potential use of personal vehicle.
