Job summary

York University is seeking a Housing Systems Specialist to coordinate system implementations, research and deploy data-informed solutions for Ancillary Services. You will work with Housing & Conference Services and UIT teams to upgrade and support applications, ensuring compliance and security while handling confidential information.

The role requires a university degree in CS/MIS or equivalent experience, plus four years in housing systems, with strong data analysis and SQL skills.

Qualifications

• University degree in CS, MIS or related field or 4 years relevant York experience.
• Four years related experience supporting campus housing systems and projects.
• Experience designing, developing and implementing software/hardware solutions.
• Ability to analyze databases and data retrieval to meet user needs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities to implement systems, technology solutions and process improvements.
• Research, analyze, evaluate, recommend and deploy systems for optimization or integration.
• Develop, upgrade, support, configure and modernize applications and platforms.
• Provide 2nd/3rd level support for vendor-based systems and learn business rules.
