Job summary

Germain Hôtels in Halifax is seeking a reliable and efficient room attendant to ensure our common areas are well-maintained and guest rooms are welcoming. You will join a close-knit team, manage a range of housekeeping tasks, and keep spaces tidy and inviting for guests across our properties.

Ideal candidates demonstrate autonomy, proactivity, and strong prioritization in a fast-paced setting, while maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, an asset.
• Experience in a similar position, an asset.
• Good physical condition: standing for long periods and ability to bend, lift loads up to 50 lb.
• Autonomy, proactivity, good management of priorities and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Ensure housekeeping of common areas and document all issues to be corrected.
• Participate in all cleaning, handling, and room availability tasks.
• Perform layout and furnishing changes; disassemble/reassemble furniture.
• Gather laundry items and stock all floors with bedding.
• Perform specific cleaning tasks for draperies, windows, balconies, decks, carpets, floors, etc.
• Respond to guest requests with care and attention and contribute, through your individuality and creativity, to continually improve their experience.
