Job summary

The Cove Lakeside Resort in West Kelowna, BC, is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee daily operations and maintain top-tier cleanliness across guest rooms, suites and public areas. This role requires leadership, organizational skills, and a focus on service excellence.

The position offers full-time hours with competitive wages and benefits. Location is on-site at The Cove Lakeside Resort, 4205 Gellatly Road, West Kelowna, BC.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years housekeeping experience in an accommodation environment.
• Previous supervisory experience would be an asset.
• Detail oriented, organized, focused on quality, with effective time management.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Knowledge of WHMIS and chemical use.
• Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest service, addressing guest concerns and/or complaints.
• Lead and supervise the day-to-day operation of the housekeeping department including scheduling, planning, workload management, task delegation, and communication across departments.
• Conduct and/or assist in the orientation and training of new employees to ensure proper onboarding, support and training is provided.
• Provide ongoing training, coaching and performance evaluations to maintain high-quality service.
• Participate in the active oversight of all team members, providing support to stay on task and on time.
• Manage inventory levels of all housekeeping supplies and equipment.
• Conduct daily housekeeping inspections to ensure top quality cleanliness and services are being provided.
• Complete administrative tasks including the updating of department policies, procedures, checklists and training documents as required.
• Understand and ensure the correct usage, storage and handling of all cleaning agents, materials, equipment and chemicals; understand MSDS protocols.
• Adhere to and contribute to the safety and security of all buildings, company assets, co-workers and guests including guest belongings.
• Ensure compliance with the Resorts policies, procedures and health & safety regulations.
• Complete Room Attendant, House Attendant and Public Spaces Attendant duties as required.

Overview

The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees the day to day running of the Housekeeping Department to ensure the appearance of all guest rooms, suites, and public areas are clean and maintained at the highest level of standards.

Attributes And Qualifications

• Proven ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
• Good computer literacy (experience and proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel).

Pay:

$23.00-$25.00 per hour plus summer bonus.

Job Type:

Permanent.

Schedule

Full Time – including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
