Job summary

Accent Inns in Kamloops is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor (Full-Time, weekend availability required) to lead and support the housekeeping team and ensure exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced hotel environment.

You will train, coach and develop staff, manage scheduling and labor, and collaborate with hotel leadership to maintain service standards. Weekend shifts and a positive, energetic attitude are essential to thrive in our Fam-Jam culture.

Qualifications

• Experience leading housekeeping teams in a hotel environment.
• Ability to coach and develop staff to meet service standards.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support General/Assistant Managers in hotel operations to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Train, coach and develop your team with regular feedback and performance management.
• Prepare and manage weekly departmental scheduling and labor costs.
• Ensure effective inter-department communication and coordination with other properties as needed.

What You Do

As a Housekeeping Supervisor,you are responsible for supporting the General and Assistant Managers with the overall operations of the hotel focused on creating an exceptional employee experience and guest experience in a high performing operational environment.

• Youassist in building and maintaining a performance-based culture that embodies our company values, where team members are accountable to outcomes and where ideas and contributions are valued and appreciated
• You are training, coaching and developing your team to be the best they can be in their roles:
  • Daily teaching, coaching and advising your team, providing feedback on a constant basis using our company feedback model
  • Addressing performance issues immediately with the support of management using coaching, training or discipline as the situation warrants, at the discretion of management or HR
  • Participating with management in performance reviews
• You are building employee engagement through education and active promotion of our values and purpose, company benefits and employee programs. Align recognition to performance and contribution, and act as a culture champion for your property
• Prepare weekly scheduling for your departments. Assist management in overseeing & monitoring all labour, payroll and scheduling and adapt based on fluctuating business needs
• Flexibility to cover shifts as needed. Providing management (GM/HM/AM) coverage as needed
• Ensuring effective communication between departments and other properties (as needed)

What You Need

• Must be available weekends
• Fun loving nature
• 1-2 years of supervisory experience is preferred
• Post-secondary education in hospitality is considered an asset but not required
• A love of team building and the ability to adapt and support the operation and leadership team
• Able and capable of safely lifting, carrying and pushing heavy loads and a willingness to jump in to support the operation
• Housekeeping experience preferred, but we will train the right person
