Job summary

Accent Inns Kamloops is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor (Full-Time, weekend availability required) to lead the housekeeping team and support hotel operations with a focus on an exceptional employee and guest experience.

You will train, coach and develop staff, manage weekly scheduling, monitor labour costs, and ensure safety and quality standards while promoting our Fam-Jam culture and core values.

Qualifications

• Must be available weekends.
• 1-2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Hospitality education is an asset.
• Love of team building and ability to support operations.
• Able to lift, carry and push heavy loads; training in housekeeping preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support General and Assistant Managers with hotel operations and staff experience.
• Train, coach and develop the team; provide feedback and conduct reviews.
• Build engagement by promoting values, benefits and employee programs.
• Prepare weekly departmental scheduling and monitor labour and payroll.
• Flexibility to cover shifts; provide GM/HM/AM coverage as needed.
• Ensure clear communication between departments and sites.

What You Do

As a Housekeeping Supervisor,you are responsible for supporting the General and Assistant Managers with the overall operations of the hotel focused on creating an exceptional employee experience and guest experience in a high performing operational environment.

• Youassist in building and maintaining a performance-based culture that embodies our company values, where team members are accountable to outcomes and where ideas and contributions are valued and appreciated
• You are training, coaching and developing your team to be the best they can be in their roles:
  • Daily teaching, coaching and advising your team, providing feedback on a constant basis using our company feedback model
  • Addressing performance issues immediately with the support of management using coaching, training or discipline as the situation warrants, at the discretion of management or HR
  • Participating with management in performance reviews
• You are building employee engagement through education and active promotion of our values and purpose, company benefits and employee programs. Align recognition to performance and contribution, and act as a culture champion for your property
• Prepare weekly scheduling for your departments. Assist management in overseeing & monitoring all labour, payroll and scheduling and adapt based on fluctuating business needs
• Flexibility to cover shifts as needed. Providing management (GM/HM/AM) coverage as needed
• Ensuring effective communication between departments and other properties (as needed)

What You Need

• Must be available weekends
• Fun loving nature
• 1-2 years of supervisory experience is preferred
• Post-secondary education in hospitality is considered an asset but not required
• A love of team building and the ability to adapt and support the operation and leadership team
• Able and capable of safely lifting, carrying and pushing heavy loads and a willingness to jump in to support the operation
• Housekeeping experience preferred, but we will train the right person
