Accent Inns Kamloops is seeking a friendly Houseperson to support housekeeping and front desk teams. This full-time role requires weekend availability and a proactive, guest-focused attitude. You will keep public spaces clean, restock supplies, respond to guest requests, and help ensure a smooth room turnover.

What You Do

Housepersons help keep our hotels clean, organized and running smoothly. You are often the go-to support person on property. No two days look the same, and success in this role comes from taking initiative, staying organized, and looking for ways to help wherever needed. By supporting our Housekeeping and Front Desk teams, you help create great guest experiences while ensuring our team members have the supplies, equipment and support they need to work efficiently and safely. Whether responding to a guest request, stripping rooms, maintaining public spaces, or helping keep storage areas organized, you play an important role in teamwork and making everything better.

Guest Experience

• Create a welcoming environment by keeping public areas clean, organized and guest ready throughout the day.
• Respond promptly to guest requests by delivering towels, amenities, playpens, and other items.
• Engage with guests in a friendly and authentic way, recognizing opportunities to connect, offer help, and make someone’s day a little better.

Operational Excellence

• Clean and maintain the lobby, amenities, hallways, stairwells, public washrooms, staff areas, entrances and exterior spaces.
• Assist with receiving orders and putting supplies away in the correct storage areas.
• Help keep closets, storage rooms, linen areas and supply spaces clean, organized, stocked and easy for the team to use.
• Collect, sort and transport dirty linen, recycling, compost and garbage safely and efficiently.
• Support the housekeeping team during busy periods by assisting with operational tasks and room turnaround.
• Complete deep cleaning projects and other assigned tasks that contribute to the overall appearance and condition of the property.

What You Need

• Must be available weekends
• Fun loving nature
• Comfortable communicating with guests and team members in a friendly, clear, and professional way.
• An obsession for neatness and the ability to take ownership and proactively address cleanliness.
• Able to work happily on your own, as a team and with guests.
• Able to safely lift, push, pull, bend, reach, and be on your feet for extended periods throughout the shift. Able to lift up to 35-40 pounds.
• Previous housekeeping, janitorial, hospitality, or guest service experience is an asset, but not required.
