Come work & play on beautiful Lake Muskoka this summer! Staff Housing Available! Taboo Muskoka is a privately owned Resort and Golf Operation in Gravenhurst, Ontario. Our mandate is to 'Create happiness by offering incredible Muskoka experiences to our guests and team.'

The Housekeeping department is responsible for the cleanliness and aesthetic upkeep of rooms, public areas, and the property. We are building our team to ensure the heart of our hotel keeps beating!

Full time and part time positions are available from June through October, including roles such as Houseperson, Room Attendants, and Laundry Attendants.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning assigned rooms and condos to resort standards.
• Making beds to high standards, removing imperfections and wrinkles.
• Cleaning balconies, decks, windows, and patio doors.
• Organizing and maintaining cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Ensuring cleanliness of hallways, condo pathways, and grounds.
• Following health and safety protocols, including WHMIS and PPE usage.
• Removing garbage and maintaining sanitation levels.
• Cleaning BBQs and grills inside and out.
• Packing and unpacking condo bags.
• Handling outdoor tasks like pushing loaded bins and climbing stairs with supplies.
• Counting and replacing inventory as needed.

Qualifications

• High school level English proficiency.
• Knowledge of hotel facilities, history, and region.
• Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and chemicals following WHMIS standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work indoors and outdoors, adapting to environment changes.
• Must be physically fit to perform walking, bending, lifting (up to 25 pounds), and pushing carts (up to 100 pounds).
• Able to climb stairs with supplies.
