Housekeepers provide cleaning services to all lodge accommodations and common areas daily. Our lodge is not a typical hotel, as it is fully self-sustaining and includes chalets with individual rooms in a remote location. Housekeepers are responsible for cleaning the guest chalets, main lodge, and sauna building, as well as doing laundry and inventory of supplies.

Excellent attention to detail and following procedures are paramount in this role. Maintenance and cleanliness are essential in the services we provide to our guests and must be maintained at the highest standards.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Reporting to the Lodge Manager, preferred skills and core competencies include:

  1. Energetic and upbeat, with the ability to work as part of a team and independently
  2. Effective communication skills with management and co-workers
  3. Friendly personality with a genuine desire to help and please others
  4. Pride in doing the job well with a keen eye for detail
  5. Ability to perform the same tasks repeatedly with satisfaction
  6. A positive attitude and flexible approach
  7. Physical fitness to perform cleaning tasks, including reaching, bending, and climbing stairs
  8. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary
  9. Passion for working with people and the outdoors is an asset

Requirements:

  1. A minimum of 2 years of housekeeping experience in a resort or luxury hotel
  2. Must be legally entitled to live & work in Canada
Other Perks/Benefits

Accommodation and meals are provided for all employees while on rotation. The schedule is three weeks on and one week off, working ten-hour days. Transfers to and from Terrace are provided; flights are at your cost. In winter months, perks include heliskiing for strong skiers/snowboarders meeting all conditions. Please note we cannot accommodate pets. (If you read all the way here... it's a good start!)
