Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Work Setting: Hotel, motel, resort

Responsibilities

Tasks:

1. Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors
2. Dust furniture
3. Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture
4. Make beds and change sheets
5. Distribute clean towels and toiletries
6. Stock linen closet
7. Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
8. Disinfect operating rooms and other areas
9. Clean and disinfect elevators
10. Handle and report lost and found items
11. Attend to guests’ requests for extra supplies or other items
12. Provide basic information on facilities
13. Pick up debris and empty trash containers
14. Wash windows, walls and ceilings
15. Clean changing rooms and showers
16. Address customers’ complaints or concerns
