Job summary

Denham Hospitality Organization is seeking a Housekeeping Manager to lead the housekeeping and laundry team, ensuring top-tier guest room cleanliness and presentation across 116 guestrooms, laundry operations, and public areas.

You will recruit, train, and coach staff, manage labour budgets, and uphold WHMIS safety and brand standards, collaborating with Front Office and Maintenance to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of progressive hotel housekeeping experience, including leadership or supervisory experience
• Strong knowledge of guest room cleaning, inspections, laundry and public-area operations
• Proven ability to lead, coach, schedule and develop housekeeping teams
• Understanding of labour productivity, room attendant performance and inventory control
• Strong attention to detail with a passion for cleanliness and quality
• Excellent organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience with hotel PMS, housekeeping systems and Microsoft Office is an asset
• Knowledge of workplace safety, WHMIS and safe chemical handling
• Hospitality Management, Business or related post-secondary education is considered an asset

Responsibilities

• Leading, coaching, scheduling, and developing the housekeeping and laundry team
• Conducting room inspections and maintaining brand quality standards
• Managing labour budgets, productivity, and staffing levels
• Recruiting, onboarding, and training new team members
• Managing inventory, ordering, and cost controls for linens, chemicals, and guest supplies
• Maintaining departmental safety and WHMIS compliance
• Partnering with Front Office and Maintenance to improve guest experience
• Investigating and resolving guest concerns related to room cleanliness
• Establishing departmental goals and performance expectations
• Supporting annual budgeting and operational planning
