Job description

Who We Are

At Denham Hospitality Organization, our mission is simple: Our Business is Hospitality! Our vision is to Create Passionate Advocates & Champions, and our values define how we get there:

  • We are Legendary
  • We are Passionate
  • We are Stewards
  • We are Innovative
  • We are Family

We're building a culture where talented hospitality people are given the opportunity, coaching and accountability to become exceptional leaders.

About the Opportunity

Great hotels are built on great first impressions—and few things shape a guest's impression more than the cleanliness and care of their room. As Housekeeping Manager, you'll manage the overall performance of our housekeeping operation, including guest rooms, laundry and public-area cleanliness.

You'll be responsible for protecting two of our most important assets: the guest experience and our people.

This isn't a position where we expect you to personally solve every problem. Your job is to build the people, systems and standards that create sustainable success. You'll balance three important roles: Manager. Trainer. Leader.

This role leads a team of approximately under 20 employees including seasonal staff, supporting 116 guestrooms, laundry operations, meeting spaces, and public areas. The department supports an average for 70-80% of room turnover per week where weekends are peak days, also while maintaining guest satisfaction and brand standards.

Success means:

  • Developing a high-performing housekeeping team
  • Delivering exceptional guest room cleanliness and presentation
  • Ensuring rooms are inspected, ready and available on time
  • Managing labour productivity, scheduling and departmental efficiency
  • Ensuring laundry, linen, amenities and housekeeping inventory controls
  • Driving deep-cleaning, quality assurance and preventative care programs
  • Creating strong systems, standards and accountability throughout the department
  • Working closely with Front Office and Maintenance to ensure a seamless guest experience

What You’ll be Responsible For:

  • Leading, coaching, scheduling, and developing the housekeeping and laundry team
  • Conducting room inspections and maintaining brand quality standards
  • Managing labour budgets, productivity, and staffing levels
  • Recruiting, onboarding, and training new team members
  • Managing inventory, ordering, and cost controls for linens, chemicals, and guest supplies
  • Maintaining departmental safety and WHMIS compliance
  • Partnering with Front Office and Maintenance to improve guest experience
  • Investigating and resolving guest concerns related to room cleanliness
  • Establishing departmental goals and performance expectations
  • Supporting annual budgeting and operational planning

Compensation Package:

  • Base Salary: $45,000 - $50,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Eligible for performance incentives
  • Comprehensive Insurance and Health Benefits (shared cost)
  • RRSP Matching
  • 3 Weeks Pay Vacation

Typical Work Schedule is from 8:00am to 5:00pm - includes weekdays, weekends and holidays. Occasionally, shift ends before 7:00pm to cover late check-outs.

Who We Are Looking for:

We're looking for a Housekeeping Manager who takes pride in excellence, loves developing people, and understands that housekeeping isn't simply about cleaning rooms, it's about creating an environment where guests feel comfortable, cared for and confident in their stay.

You don't necessarily need to have held the title "Housekeeping Manager" before.

If you've demonstrated strong housekeeping leadership, understand hotel cleanliness and productivity standards, and are ready to take ownership of a department, we want to hear from you.

  • Excellent organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
