Job summary

Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care in Markham, Ontario is seeking a dedicated housekeeping and laundry attendant. Under the direction of the Facility Manager, you will perform housekeeping and laundry tasks efficiently, with attention to residents' needs and comfort.

Strong customer service and the ability to use computer/phone apps are required. Applicants must understand and follow English instructions; Chinese language skills are an asset.

Qualifications

• Able to perform heavy lifting and inspect linens to ensure cleaning standards.
• Experience in institutional housekeeping or laundry is an asset.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to follow instructions in English.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; Chinese is an asset.
• Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Screen is required.

• Under the direction of the Facility Manager, perform housekeeping and laundry tasks efficiently.
• Cooperate with staff and consider residents' needs and comfort in all tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in resident areas.

Under the direction of the Facility Manager, responsible for performing housekeeping and laundry tasks in an efficient and cooperative manner, and with due consideration for the needs and comfort of the residents.

Qualifications

Able to perform heavy lifting tasks and visual acuity for inspecting linens and to ensure cleaning tasks are performed to standard Some experience in institutional housekeeping or laundry is an asset Excellent customer service skills Must be comfortable using computer/phone applications Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Screen Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions in English. Ability to communicate in Chinese an asset.
