Job summary

Kensington Place Retirement Residence in Toronto, ON is seeking a part-time Housekeeping Aide. Pay rate is $18.85 per hour. Join Sienna Senior Living to help residents live with comfort, dignity and respect.

As part of our care team, you’ll perform cleaning tasks, protect resident privacy, and contribute to a safe, welcoming environment for daily life at Kensington Place.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience is required.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit.
• Must pass Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Records Check.
• Sienna may use AI to screen applicants.

What you’ll be doing:

You will be a welcomed team member, working in a fast-paced environment where you will make a meaningful difference in residents’ lives. As a Housekeeping Aide you will do meaningful work everyday ensuring a safe and clean environment for residents’. As an individual and part of a wider team, you will be a strong contributor to the culture of the home, where the focus is always on helping residents live fully, every day.

What makes you a great fit?

• Ability to complete a wide range of cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, carpet shampooing, and spot cleaning walls, windows, and doors
• Skilled in cleaning and disinfecting resident rooms, bathrooms, furniture, and common areas according to assigned schedules and procedures
• Attention to detail when preparing rooms for new occupants, ensuring spaces are clean, welcoming, and tour-ready at all times
• Strong understanding of resident privacy and professionalism while working in occupied living spaces
• Compassionate, dependable, and motivated by meaningful work that supports seniors’ quality of life
• Detail-oriented with strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with residents and team members
• Flexible and willing to assist with additional duties as assigned

What you need to know:

• Previous housekeeping experience is required
