Golden Life is seeking a Housekeeping Aide for Lake View Village in Nelson, BC. The role is permanent, part-time (0.80 FTE) with a Tuesday–Friday shift from 8:00 to 16:00.

You will maintain clean resident rooms and common areas, assist with laundry, and follow infection prevention policies to protect residents and staff. You’ll work in a welcoming community, interact with residents and guests in a courteous manner, and contribute to a positive team environment while completing required

We’re seeking a Housekeeping Aide who takes pride in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents. In this important role, you will help ensure our community feels comfortable and cared for every day.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain clean, safe, and inviting resident rooms and common areas through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, disinfecting, and replenishing supplies
• Prepare cleaning solutions and ensure housekeeping equipment is cleaned, disinfected, and properly stored
• Support laundry services as needed
• Follow all infection prevention, safety, and security policies to protect residents, visitors, and team members
• Proactively identify and report any health or safety concerns to your manager
• Interact with residents, guests, and coworkers in a warm, courteous, and respectful manner
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time
• Contribute positively to the team environment, helping create exceptional experiences
• Follow security and infection control policies and procedures; and,
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

• Effective communication and organizational skills;
• Energetic, focused, and enthusiastic person;
• Accountability for the general sanitation of the building;
• Ability to work independently and as a team-player;
• Physically capable of lifting up to 10kgs;
• Grade 10 education or equivalent;
• Successful clearance of a vulnerable sector-criminal record check
• Up-to-date immunization record.
