Job summary

The Burger in Barrie, ON is seeking a shift leader to train and coach a team, set expectations, and work closely with Senior Management. The role includes opening/closing the restaurant, handling cash deposits, placing orders, and performing inventory counts.

We value enthusiastic, customer-focused individuals who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multitasking duties, and maintain composure under pressure. Flexible shifts and strong team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience leading a team.
• Food Handler Certification or willingness to certify.
• Available for mixed shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain composure.

What you will do in this role:

• Train and coach the team below you to provide "ABSOLUTE" service
• Set clear expectations and follow up with your team on a regular basis
• Take direction and feedback from the Senior Management team
• Open and close the restaurant independently (key holder)
• Reconcile cash deposits
• Place orders and perform inventory counts
• Address customer concerns ensuring that each guest leaves satisfied

What we are looking for from you:

• Minimum 1 year of experience leading a team
• Friendly and enthusiastic about everything you do
• Passionate about food and providing only the best guest experiences
• Food Handler Certified or willing to certify
• Available for mixed shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Works well in a team setting but can complete tasks independently as needed
• Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
• Well organized with ability to multitask

• Ability to stand for long periods of time and in a hot environment
