Job summary

The Glynmill Inn in Corner Brook, NL, seeks a full-time, permanent Assistant General Manager to lead the hotel team and support daily operations. The role focuses on guest satisfaction, staff leadership, and financial stewardship while maintaining the inn's high service standards.

You will report to the General Manager, work Monday through Friday, and contribute to a positive work environment with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in hospitality or similar.
• Degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, Tourism, or Hotel Management is an asset.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience budgeting and reporting structures.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily hotel operations and provide strategic direction.
• Recruitment with department supervisors and staff training.
• Ensure quality standards and adherence to budgets.
• Coordinate with operations, housekeeping, and food & beverage teams.
• Manage guest satisfaction, communications, and issue resolution.
• Oversee inventory, purchasing, and month-end financials.
• Support events and banquets as needed.
