Job summary

Level in Vancouver seeks a Maintenance Technician to keep residential and hotel properties safe, functional, and guest-ready. You will diagnose and repair issues across suites and common areas, handle drywall work, patching, and painting, and coordinate with trades as needed.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment schedules, reporting hazards, and assisting with moves and deliveries. Weekend availability is required in a full-time role.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience in residential or hotel properties.
• Relevant trade or technical certification (an asset).
• High school diploma.
• Ability to prioritize and stay organized in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a warm, service-minded attitude toward guests and co-workers.
• Basic computer skills.
• Availability to work weekends as part of a full-time schedule.
• A high standard of personal hygiene, grooming, and attire.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair maintenance issues in guest suites and common areas, responding quickly to keep every space safe, functional, and guest-ready.
• Handle drywall repair, patching, and painting to restore suites and common areas to a polished finish.
• Identify issues that need specialized work and coordinate the appropriate trades.
• Maintain accurate yearly schedules for all equipment on property, and coordinate annual inspections of all appliances.
• Report safety hazards, maintenance defects, or other problems to the Operations Manager immediately.
• Work efficiently and discreetly around guests, staying security-conscious on guest floors, in occupied suites, and in back-of-house areas.
• Coordinate with Guest Services when issues affect a guest’s stay.
• Complete special maintenance assignments from the Housekeeping Supervisor or Operations Manager.
• Travel between multiple sites to complete repairs as needed (personal vehicle required).
• Be helpful, cordial, and courteous to guests and co-workers at all times.
• Assist with furniture moves, delivery and pick-up of special request items, and other duties as assigned.
• Use cleaning equipment, products, and materials correctly and safely when needed.
