Job summary

The Barrington Steakhouse & Oyster Bar in Halifax is seeking a Host to greet guests, seat them promptly, and contribute to a memorable dining experience.

You will manage reservations, support the service team, and help maintain a safe, welcoming atmosphere. Prior POS experience is a plus, and flexibility across days, evenings, and weekends is expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide a warm first impression as you invite guests through the front door.
• Seat guests in a timely manner with an upbeat and positive personality.
• Book and confirm reservations.
• Maintain the flow of guests inside and outside the venue.
• Clean and reset tables.
• Provide support to the service team as necessary.
• Collaborate with the restaurant team to maintain a safe and fun atmosphere.
• Ensure departing guests leave with a lasting impression and are inclined to return.
• Other duties as required.

As a Host, You Will

• Provide a warm first impression as you invite guests through the front door
• Ensuring guests have a memorable experience by seating them in a timely service with an upbeat and positive personality
• Book and confirm reservations
• Maintaining the flow of guests inside and outside
• Cleaning and resetting tables
• Provide support to the service team as necessary
• Work along side of the restaurant team to establish a safe and fun atmosphere
• Provide a lasting impression as departing guests leave - Ensuring they come back and visit us again
• Other duties as required
