Job summary

Murphy Hospitality Group, owner of The Barrington Steakhouse & Oyster Bar, is seeking a friendly Host to greet guests, seat them promptly, and help maintain a welcoming dining room. You will book reservations, manage guest flow, and partner with the service team to ensure a memorable Barrington experience.

The ideal candidate has a positive, outgoing personality, strong organizational skills, and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• Positive, outgoing personality and strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings and weekends; eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Provide a warm first impression and greet guests at the front door.
• Seat guests promptly with a friendly, upbeat attitude.
• Book and confirm reservations.
• Maintain smooth flow of guests inside and outside the restaurant.
• Clean and reset tables as needed.
• Support the service team to ensure a positive guest experience.
• Contribute to a safe, fun atmosphere with the restaurant team.
• Other duties as required.

As a Host, You Will

• Provide a warm first impression as you invite guests through the front door
• Ensuring guests have a memorable experience by seating them in a timely service with an upbeat and positive personality
• Book and confirm reservations
• Maintaining the flow of guests inside and outside
• Cleaning and resetting tables
• Provide support to the service team as necessary
• Work along side of the restaurant team to establish a safe and fun atmosphere
• Provide a lasting impression as departing guests leave - Ensuring they come back and visit us again
• Other duties as required
