Job summary

Concorde Group's Hunter restaurant in Canmore seeks a friendly Host to greet guests, escort to tables, and manage reservations. You will help shape a new dining experience in a vibrant hospitality environment, starting from opening a brand-new venue.

The role emphasizes warm customer service, teamwork with servers, and attentiveness to guest needs in a dynamic setting. Prior hospitality experience is helpful; OpenTable familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in customer service or hospitality preferred but not required.
• Experience with OpenTable is an asset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks during busy times.
• Strong customer service with a positive attitude.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve guest concerns promptly.
• Proficient in reservation systems, phone systems, and basic computer apps.
• Must stand for long periods and perform light physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests at the door in a prompt and friendly manner.
• Escort guests to tables and ensure tables are set and ready for service.
• Answer questions about menu, policies, and wait times; direct to team members as needed.
• Receive and record reservations in a pleasant, attentive manner.
• Maintain an organized waitlist and inform guests of wait times.
• Coordinate with servers and management for smooth seating transitions.
• Communicate special requests or celebrations to servers.
• Maintain cleanliness of front desk area and restock supplies.
• Monitor guest dining experience and address requests promptly.
• Thank guests as they exit and invite them to return.
• Provide support to ensure smooth restaurant operations as needed.
• Assist with arranging transportation if required.
• Execute ad-hoc tasks as needed.

The Host is the first point of contact for guests and plays a pivotal role in creating a positive first impression through greeting, seating and in the management of reservations. Hunter is Concorde Group’s newest venture—an exciting opportunity for those eager to build new relationships and be part of opening a brand-new restaurant. Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests at the door in a prompt and friendly manner. Provide a warm and inviting atmosphere from the time of arrival.
• Escort guests to their tables in a timely manner, ensuring that tables are properly set and ready for service.
• Answer any questions guests may have about the menu, restaurant policies, or wait times. Provide accurate information and direct them to the appropriate team members as needed.
• Answertext messages, receive and record reservations accurately in a pleasant and attentive manner.
• Maintain an organized waitlist during peak hours and ensure guests are informed of wait times. Keep guests updated and manage seating assignments based on availability.
• Coordinate with servers and management to ensure smooth seating transitions.
• Communicate special requests or celebratory occasions to the servers.
• Maintain cleanliness offront desk area, restocking supplies and ensuring menus are clean and organized.
• Monitor and observe guests dining experience, ensuring guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
• Thank guests for their visit as they exit the restaurant and invite them to return.
• Address any guest issues or concerns politely and promptly. Escalate unresolved issues to the manager or supervisor as needed.
• Be ready and willing to provide support as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by themanagerin charge.
• Assist in arranging transportation for guests if required.
• Execute ad-hoc tasks are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with the OpenTableprogram is considered an asset.

• Must be able to stand for long periods and perform light physical tasks such as lifting menus, cleaning, and arranging seating.
• Valid Liquor Service Certification obtained within 30 days of starting.
• Mustbe over 18 as alcohol service and open scheduling availability is a requirement.
