Job Overview

A Host at Clockwork will be the first point of contact for guests, embodying the high service standards of the Fairmont Royal York. This role creates a welcoming atmosphere and ensures a seamless dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests promptly, maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor.
• Manage reservations, waiting lists, and special requests efficiently.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of menus, beverage lists, and hotel promotions.
• Maintain a clean and organized host stand.
• Communicate effectively with servers regarding reservations and guest needs.
• Assist with coat check services when necessary.
• Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to improving guest experiences.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures and hotel policies.
• Complete all assigned duties before concluding the shift.
• Promote teamwork and maintain good relationships with colleagues.

Qualifications

• Previous work experience in a restaurant/food and beverage setting.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player attitude.
• Ability to multi-task when dealing with a high volume of guest requests.

Physical Demands

• Constant standing and walking throughout shift.
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.
• Constant kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting.
• Frequent ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps.
