Job summary

Qualifications

• 4–5 years in engineering and maintenance in hospitality.
• Hospitality experience is a must.
• Bachelor of Engineering Degree is an asset.
• Technical training in HVAC-R, electrical, and plumbing.
• Experience leading a team.
• Strong organization, attention to detail and multi-tasking.
• Diplomacy and outstanding communication skills.
• Ability to manage projects from start to finish.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day engineering/maintenance operations, including building, grounds and plant with safety focus.
• Assist in budgeting, capital projects, preventative maintenance and energy conservation.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and life-safety systems.
• Coordinate with contractors for bids, construction and timely completion within budget.
• Develop specifications for service contracts and administer them.
• Inspect facilities, buildings and guest areas to ensure satisfaction and standards.
• Lead emergency response coordination and vendor relationships.
