Job summary

River Cree Resort & Casino in Alberta is seeking an Assistant Banquet Manager reporting to the Director of Banquets to oversee daily banquet operations and ensure top-tier service for events. You will drive guest satisfaction, coordinate with Sales, Events, Marketing and the Banquet Culinary team, and mentor staff to deliver flawless experiences.

The role requires 3–5 years in Food & Beverage, strong leadership, and solid MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in Food & Beverage.
• ProServe/ProTect preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a rapidly changing environment.
• Strong management and leadership abilities.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily banquet operations and staff.
• Coordinate with Sales, Events, and Culinary teams for setup/tear down.
• Schedule cleaning, maintenance, and housekeeping tasks.
• Manage event floor plans, safety, and emergency procedures.
• Monitor budgets, costs, and revenue opportunities.
