Job summary

Shared Health’s Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg is seeking a Patrol Security Services officer. You will patrol buildings and property to create a safe and secure environment for patients, staff and visitors, enforcing rules and responding to incidents.

Requirements include Grade 12, Manitoba Security Guard license, valid Class 5 driver’s license, and ability to work days, nights and weekends. This in-person role offers 12-hour shifts with 1.0 FTE and a salary in the posted range.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 12 Manitoba standard high school or equivalent.
• Must possess Manitoba Security Guard license.
• Must possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license.
• Must possess Manitoba Security Guard License and/or any future license mandated by Manitoba Justice.

Responsibilities

• Patrols buildings and property to create a safe and secure environment for patients, staff and visitors.
• Enforces Health Sciences Centre rules and regulations as they apply to security and traffic.
• Detects and deals with unlawful acts and assists medical staff when requested.
• Maintains accurate incident reports for investigative action.
