Job summary
Niagara Health is seeking a Refrigeration and HVAC Technician to operate and maintain hospital refrigeration units and building HVAC systems. You will perform preventative maintenance, tests, installs, and repairs across Niagara Health sites, following CSA and TSSA standards.
Role requires 5 years of related experience, Ontario certification for Industrial Refrigeration, and building automation know-how. Day shift with weekend rotation; drivers license and vehicle access needed for inter-site
Qualifications
- Minimum requirement is Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Ontario Certificate of Qualification for Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic (Industrial Refrigeration).
- Valid and up-to-date Ozone Depletion Prevention card.
- 5 years related experience in service/repair of refrigeration and HVAC equipment.
- Experience with building automation systems.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain hospital refrigeration units and building HVAC systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine servicing.
- Test, install, and repair refrigeration and HVAC equipment and controls.
- Work with building automation systems and CMMS.
- Coordinate with contractors and internal customers to meet deadlines.
