Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Journeyperson Refrigeration Mechanic Certificate from Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training.
• 5–7 years of specialized technical experience, ideally in a hospital setting.
• Strong knowledge of the refrigeration trade, relevant codes, safety regulations, lockout procedures, and confined space requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, repair and maintain refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and operational performance checks on systems.
• Diagnose issues, disassemble components, repair parts, reassemble systems and document work.
