Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a facilities maintenance technician to join the Operations & Maintenance team at Providence Care Hospital in Kingston, Ontario. The role supports general repairs, renovations, and preventive maintenance to ensure a safe, functional healthcare environment.

You will maintain building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structures, work in occupied areas, coordinate with client staff, and use the CMMS to prioritize work orders and track progress.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; experience in facility maintenance is preferred.
• Experience performing general building repairs, maintenance, or renovations is an asset.
• Ability to read labels, directions, drawings, and work instructions.
• Physically capable of tasks including climbing ladders and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance, repairs, and renovations across the facility.
• Maintain building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structures.
• Assist with inventory management and supplies.
• Operate in occupied areas of a functioning healthcare facility.
• Utilize CMMS to prioritize work orders and track tasks.
• Support subcontractors and other maintenance personnel.
• Move equipment, furniture and materials as required.
• Participate in safety programs and on-call rotations.
