Job summary

London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) is seeking a Manager of Maintenance & Repair Operations to lead a team of managers, coordinators, and trades. You will oversee preventative maintenance, capital projects, and repairs to building systems to ensure patient safety and timely access.

Reporting to the Director of Facilities Operations, Projects and Planning, you will manage staffing, budgets, and change initiatives, while fostering a healthy workplace and collaborating with internal and external

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (e.g., Engineering) preferred.
• Post-graduate education preferred.
• Facility Management Professional (FMP) certification preferred.
• Project Management certification preferred.
• 3–5 years in progressively more responsible leadership roles in healthcare, preferably in an acute care teaching hospital.
• Active members of CCHL who pursue CHE Select may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance and repair operations with managers, coordinators and staff.
• Coordinate preventative maintenance and small/large capital project repairs.
• Ensure alignment with LHSC mission, vision, values and objectives.
• Manage day-to-day department activities including staffing and scheduling.
• Support a healthy workplace, risk and utilization measures, and budgets.
• On-call evenings and weekends on a rotational basis.
