Job summary

Alberta Health Services seeks Environmental Services staff at Taber Health Centre. You will perform cleaning and disinfection in clinical and non-clinical areas, restock supplies, and handle linen and waste with a focus on safety and confidentiality.

The role is casual/relief with shifts that vary, and requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 25 lbs and push/pull up to 50 lbs. CRITICAL to uphold IPC standards and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent.
• Knowledge and operation of computers and smartphones.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform repetitive movements.
• Physically capable to lift up to 25 lbs and push/pull up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect clinical and non-clinical healthcare environments.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, restock bathroom supplies, and strip linen.
• Operate industrial cleaning equipment and manage waste.
• Identify hazards and assist with staff training as needed.
