Job summary

Prairie Mountain Health is seeking an Environmental Services Aide in Rossburn, MB. The role supports laundry and housekeeping services, following infection control guidelines and safety procedures to maintain patient and workplace cleanliness.

You will prioritize duties, perform routine cleaning, assist with linen handling, restock supplies, and participate in quality control activities within a collaborative team environment.

• Grade 9 education (MB Standards)

Responsibilities

• Assists in training and orientation of Environmental Services staff and students
• Follows departmental procedures to ensure consistency and quality of service
• Cleans assigned areas according to schedules and infection control guidelines
• Performs extra cleaning duties within timeframes and schedules
• Conducts daily tours of areas of responsibility before shift end
• Ensures equipment is clean and operating efficiently
• Cleans beds frames and mattresses as scheduled
• Collects waste and washes waste receptacles
• Cleans and maintains housekeeping carts and restocks
• Performs washing, mopping, waxing, vacuuming, polishing and dusting
• Cleans and processes laundry and linen per standards and infection control
• May perform minor repairs to laundry and linen
• Distributes laundry and linen as appropriate
• Restocks supplies and assists with inventory procedures
• Assists with department quality control audits
• Other duties as assigned
