Job summary

Prairie Mountain Health is seeking an Environmental Services Aide to support laundry and housekeeping activities under the supervision of the Environmental Services Manager and Supervisor. You will follow infection control guidelines and established procedures to ensure a clean, safe patient environment.

The role involves cleaning, waste handling, linen processing, equipment upkeep, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to maintain high standards of service and safety.

Qualifications

• Grade 9 education or equivalent.
• Able to follow procedures and infection control guidelines.
• Demonstrated dexterity and efficient work methods.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
• Good communication and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Respect for and promotion of a culturally diverse population.

Responsibilities

• Assist in training Environmental Services staff and students.
• Follow departmental procedures to maintain consistent quality of service.
• Clean assigned areas per schedules and infection control guidelines.
• Prioritize and complete extra cleaning duties within timeframes.
• Inspect areas for cleanliness at end of shift.
• Ensure all equipment is clean and operating efficiently.
• Perform laundry and linen duties per standards.
• Restock supplies and assist with inventory.
