  DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  
  
  
  
  • Deliver Ontario Curriculum-aligned lessons across English Language Arts (phonics, guided reading, writing), Mathematics, Science & Technology, and Social Studies for Grades 1–6.
  
  
  • Prepare long-range plans, unit plans, lesson plans, and homework materials with clear learning objectives.
  
  
  • Use developmentally appropriate strategies: play-based and multi-sensory for primary learners; structured inquiry and skill-building for junior students.
  
  
  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that address the full range of abilities within the class.
  
  
  • Motivate students through enthusiastic, imaginative, and engaging classroom activities.
  
  
  • Organise the classroom and learning resources; create displays that promote a positive, welcoming learning environment.
  
  
  • Maintain appropriate standards of behaviour, mutual respect, and safety within the classroom.
  
  
  • Supervise students during classes, breaks, transitions, and other times throughout the school day.
  
  
  • Conduct formal and informal ongoing assessment; prepare report cards, progress reports, and provide meaningful feedback to support student growth.
