Job summary

BC Muslim School in Richmond, BC is hiring two Arabic, Quran, and Islamic Studies teachers for grades K-9. The school, operated by the BC Muslim Association, seeks educators who can deliver engaging, spiritually-grounded instruction while supporting students' academic, moral, and spiritual development.

This is a full-time contract for the 2026-2027 school year, located in Richmond with in-person classes. Proven Canadian residency and a teaching credential are required as well as BC TRB

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education from a Canadian university.
• Valid teaching license from a Canadian province, or active pursuit of BC TRB certification.
• Current Canadian residency (applications from outside Canada will not be considered).
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Knowledge of BC primary and intermediate curriculum (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop unit and daily lesson plans aligned with BC curriculum standards.
• Deliver instruction in Islamic Studies, Arabic language, and Quranic studies using diverse, holistic teaching methods.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Manage classroom behavior proactively and constructively, resolving student conflicts and disruptions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant primary/intermediate classroom teaching experience

• Compensation and Benefits: Annual salary: $46,000–$72,000 CAD
