Job summary

ParaMed Home Health Care is seeking a part-time role to travel between patients for home visits, prepare meals, provide companionship, and assist with daily living activities, while supporting hygiene and meal routines. A valid driver’s license and vehicle are required, with training and education opportunities available through ParaMed.

This role emphasizes compassionate care for seniors, flexibility to work every other weekend, and a chance to grow via education allowances and a bridging

Qualifications

• Compassion and active listening are essential.
• Willingness to visit patients within a designated area.
• Ability to work every other weekend.
• Experience with seniors and/or children is an asset.
• Criminal background screening required on hire.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Travel between patients to complete several home visits daily.
• Prepare meals and assist with meal times.
• Assist with basic housekeeping duties.
• Provide companionship and support patients’ well-being.
• Assist with personal hygiene including showering and bathing.
• Support for activities of daily living.

What You’ll Do

• travel from patient to patient completing several home visits per day


• Prepare meals and assist with meal-time


• Basic housekeeping duties


• Provide companionship and support the well-being of patients


• Assist with personal hygiene care including showering and bathing


• Support for basic activities of daily living

What You Bring

• Ability to pass or satisfy a Criminal Background screening upon hire


• Previous experience performing personal hygiene care is an asset but not necessary
