Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Kettle Campaign Worker to support the Christmas kettle locations across their regional zones. This is a temporary contract with varied shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and some travel in local areas.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of related experience or work in customer service.
• Money handling experience is an asset.
• Experience in office administration.
• Experience with general office equipment; strong word processing and spreadsheet skills.

Responsibilities

• Attend a day of training/orientation.
• Provide support in getting kettles to zone locations before volunteers arrive.
• Ensure all kettle donations are delivered to secure location at shift end.
• Communicate daily issues to supervisor.
• Visit locations during shift changes and intermittently.
• Remain at the kettle for the full shift and ensure donation security.
• Assist with promoting, coordinating, volunteers, and recruitment of kettle volunteers.
• Support volunteers and respond to emergency absences.
• Assist in delivery and pickup of kettles daily, ensuring security of donations.
• Host at a kettle as required.
• Ensure kettles have literature and supplies.
