Job summary

Emcon Services Inc is seeking a winter equipment operator in Alberta. This seasonal union position involves driving plow trucks and performing various road maintenance tasks, such as installing and repairing signs and guiderails.

Applicants must possess a valid Class 3 AB Driver’s Licence with a preference for Class 1. Availability for 24/7 on-call during the winter is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid AB Driver’s Licence (minimum Class 3/ air).
• Class 1 Licence is preferred.
• Available for 24/7 on-call shifts during the winter season.

Responsibilities

• Drive plow trucks primarily during the winter season.
• Perform road maintenance tasks including sign installation and repair.
• Maintain road safety equipment such as guiderails and ditches.

EMCON SERVICES INC., a progressive Road & Bridge Maintenance Contractor in BC, Alberta and Ontario, is looking for a confident winter equipment operator in several locations. These are seasonal union (AUPE) positions. Our teams perform a large variety of road maintenance related tasks such as installing, repairing and maintaining signs, guiderails, fences, ditches, culverts, but the primary function for the winter season is driving plow trucks.

Qualifications include:

• Valid AB Driver’s Licence (minimum Class 3/ air)
• Class 1 preferred.
• 24/7 on call in winter season
