Parsons is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead Highway Engineering for MTO projects across Ontario, from planning through delivery. You will manage a team of highway engineers and design specialists, coordinate with clients and stakeholders, and develop schedules, budgets, and technical solutions that meet milestones and quality standards.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil/Transportation Engineering degree, P.Eng., and 15+ years of MTO experience, with expertise in AutoCAD, OpenRoads Designer,

Qualifications

• University degree in Civil/Transportation Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licensed with PEO.
• 15+ years of MTO experience.
• Advanced knowledge of highway engineering theory and policy.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, OpenRoads Designer, MicroStation and AutoTurn.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Highway Engineering on MTO projects across Ontario.
• Develop design from planning to execution and ensure milestones.
• Oversee project teams including engineers, designers, and subcontractors.
• Support client liaison with MTO and stakeholders.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Identify and mitigate project risks.
• Integrate MTO active transportation plans into designs.
• Prepare technical reports and ensure quality assurance.
• Assist in business development activities.
