Job summary

Castle Education is seeking passionate and reliable HLTAs to work across primary schools in Whitby and the surrounding areas, supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

You can tell us your preferred year groups, schools and availability, and we will tailor opportunities to your experience and preferences. Roles offer flexibility with regular, part-time and ad hoc work, weekly PAYE pay and holiday pay included.

Qualifications

• Experience as HLTA or Teaching Assistant across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 is desirable.
• Strong classroom management skills and genuine passion for supporting pupils.

Responsibilities

• Cover classes across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
• Deliver pre planned lessons and lead whole class activities.
• Support pupils in small groups or 1:1 and assist pupils with additional needs.
• Support teachers with classroom management and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Take on additional responsibilities within the classroom or wider school.

Are you an experienced HLTA, Higher Level Teaching Assistant or experienced Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work in the Whitby area?

Castle Education are looking for passionate and reliable HLTAs to work across primary schools in Whitby and the surrounding areas, supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

Whether you are looking for regular work, a few days each week or occasional supply work around your existing commitments, we can offer the flexibility to choose when you work.

The Role

• Covering classes across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
• Delivering pre planned lessons
• Leading whole class activities
• Supporting pupils in small groups or on a 1:1 basis
• Providing targeted support for pupils with additional needs
• Supporting teachers with classroom management
• Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and key skills
• Supporting learning and maintaining a positive classroom environment
• Taking on additional responsibilities within the classroom or wider school
