Job summary

Castle Education is seeking a Secondary Teaching Specialist to teach across KS3 and KS4 in Whitby and surrounding areas. The role offers flexible day-to-day, regular, or longer placements with weekly PAYE pay and holiday pay.

You will deliver engaging lessons, plan where needed, and support pupils to progress while creating an inclusive classroom environment. QTS or equivalent required and multiple schools may be involved.

• Ability to teach KS3 and KS4.
• Strong classroom management and inclusive practice.

The Role

As a Secondary Teaching Specialist, you could be:

• Teaching across KS3 and KS4
• Delivering engaging and effective lessons
• Planning and preparing lessons where required
• Supporting pupils to make progress
• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively
• Building positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Adapting learning to meet individual needs
• Supporting pupils to achieve their academic and personal potential
• Working closely with schools to support pupil development
