Job summary

Connex Education in Handsworth is seeking an EYFS Teaching Assistant to support young children in a nurturing, play-based setting. The role focuses on fostering confidence, independence, and social development under the guidance of the class teacher.

The successful candidate will hold Level 3 EYFS or an equivalent UK qualification, have experience in education, and hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS. This on-site role offers a competitive daily rate and ongoing professional development.

About the role

Connex Education are seeking a proactive and dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to support young children in a nurturing and engaging learning environment. This role requires someone confident working with children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), including those with additional needs, who can build positive relationships to encourage learning, confidence, and social development. The successful candidate will support children through play-based learning, promote independence, and help create a safe, stimulating classroom environment. They should be patient, adaptable, and passionate about supporting each child’s individual development, acting as a positive role model within the setting while working closely with the class teacher and wider school team.

Role Requirements
