The High Voltage Field Services Technologist will be responsible for working with team members in the safe execution of field services duties.

The Technologist will perform field services duties including, but not limited to, acceptance/maintenance testing and inspection of electrical power installations such as: switchgears, circuit breakers, power transformers, instrument transformers, protective relays, insulation systems, etc. Other duties include reading and marking up electrical drawings and schematics and assisting with construction work of small-scale electrical installations (such as protective relay retrofits). Understanding and familiarity with NETA Acceptance/Maintenance standards is a core requirement.

Responsibilities include:
  • Maintaining safety certifications such as First Aid, H2S Alive, Fall Arrest, etc., and completing mandatory eCompliance training.
  • Following company and client safety protocols before and during site work, working with the team lead to eliminate hazards.
  • Working safely on low, medium, and high voltage electrical installations in various environments.
  • Following NETA standards and working with various hand tools and electrical test equipment.
  • Filling out project paperwork accurately.
  • Supporting project completion under the team lead's guidance.
  • Interacting professionally with clients.
  • Preparing tools, equipment, and materials for each job.
  • Writing and compiling reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness, and submitting drafts for review.
