Job summary

Securiguard Services Ltd. is seeking experienced security guards for sites throughout the Ottawa region. You will enforce regulations, monitor CCTV, control access, report hazards, and respond to incidents as part of a dedicated security team.

Required are an Ontario Security License, First Aid & CPR, and prior security experience; a security-related diploma is preferred. The role involves long shifts, standing and walking up to 12 hours, and a strong emphasis on communication and discretion.

Job description

Securiguard Services is looking for experienced security guards for our various sites across the Ottawa region.

As a security professional, you'll contribute to the safety to our stakeholders by enforcing provincial and municipal regulations, enforcing policies and procedures, monitoring CCTV systems and operating security control room equipment, controlling access to the site, reporting any hazards or security breaches, and responding to incidents.

Requirements:

• Valid Ontario Security License
• Standard First Aid & Level C CPR with AED
• 1 year of security experience, preferred
• Diploma/Degree in the field of security or law enforcement preferred i.e Justice Studies, Police Foundations, etc
• Excellent communication & report writing skills
• Customer service experience is an asset
• Approaches a situation with a listening mindset and empathy
• Capable of standing and walking for a duration of up to 12 hours
• Ability to problem solve, effective with crowd management and use discretion and good judgment
• A valid drivers license & having a personal vehicle is an asset

Pay rate: $21.15 to $24
