Job summary

Halton Healthcare in Milton is seeking a casual patient meal assistant to assemble and deliver trays to patients, while maintaining cleanliness and stocking supplies in a fast-paced hospital environment.

The ideal candidate will have good customer service, strong interpersonal skills, be organized and reliable, and able to stand for long periods with repetitive motions; shifts are rotating 7.5-hour blocks across Mon-Sun at the Milton site.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to acquire the Food Handler's Certification.
• Knowledge of WHMIS and HACCP regulations.
• Knowledge of industrial food service equipment.
• Customer service experience preferable in the food service industry
• Must be organized and detail oriented.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with volunteers and patients, both verbal and written.
• Position requires long periods of standing, repetitive actions, and significant amounts of bending and lifting.
• Satisfactory employment and attendance record

Job Description

Responsible for the assembly and delivery of patient meals. Duties include preparing and delivery of patient trays, cleaning & warewashing, organizing and stocking supplies and other duties assigned.
