Job summary

Aerotek in Vancouver, BC is seeking an experienced Structures Technician to perform heavy structural repairs, modifications, and C-checks on a diverse fleet including B737s, C-130s, helicopters, and business jets. This hands-on role requires strong structures expertise and the ability to work independently on complex aircraft projects.

You will lead projects on the hangar floor, coordinate tasks and timelines, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of aircraft structures experience in an MRO/AMO environment.
  • 5+ years of heavy modification and C-check experience.
  • Strong aircraft sheet metal and structural repair.
  • Experience on aircraft such as B737s, C-130s, helicopters, and business jets.
  • Ability to lead projects with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Own structures-related tools.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Structures Technician to perform heavy structural repairs, modifications, and C-checks on a diverse fleet including B737s, C-130s, helicopters, and business jets . hands-on role requiring strong structures expertise, the ability to work independently, and experience leading projects in an MRO environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform heavy structural repairs, modifications, and sheet metal work on various aircraft types.

  • Support major modification programs, including B737 conversions and heavy checks.

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and install structural components including frames, ribs, skin doublers, mounts, and brackets.

  • Lead projects on the hangar floor, coordinating tasks, resources, and timelines.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

  • Complete maintenance documentation accurately and on time.

  • Travel as required to support projects across Canada and internationally.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of aircraft structures experience in an MRO/AMO environment.

  • 5+ years of heavy modification and C-check experience.

  • Experience working on aircraft such as B737s, C-130s, helicopters, and business jets .

  • Ability to lead projects with minimal supervision.

Assets
  • AME S or M2 License.

  • Previous ACA experience.

  • Composite repair experience.

  • Fuel cell, fall protection, boom/man lift, or first aid training.

  • Lead Hand or Team Lead experience.

Work Environment
  • Hangar environment supporting heavy maintenance and modification programs.

  • 2 weeks on / 1 week off rotation.

  • 10-hour shifts with overtime available.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Vancouver, BC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Vancouver,BC.
