Job summary

Aerotek Brampton is seeking a Quality Inspector to help maintain our high standards across receiving, in-process, and final inspections on switches and related orders. This permanent onsite role operates on a day shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

You will perform audits, review supplier documentation, and contribute to NCRs and CARs, with opportunities for bonuses and vacation, as described in the job listing.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in quality control or a similar position.
  • Quality credentials, schooling, and experience.
  • Computer experience and inventory control experience.
  • Mechanical and electrical knowledge, particularly in electrical switches.
  • Quality certifications, such as ASQ.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams.

  • Perform receiving inspection as required.
  • Conduct in-process and final inspection tasks on switches and part orders being shipped.
  • Perform internal process and quality system audits, reporting all findings.
  • Apply sound judgment in making quality-related decisions and problem-solving.
  • Shut down non-conforming processes after notifying relevant personnel.
  • Communicate drawing discrepancies to Engineering.
  • Participate in customer inspections as needed.
  • Create and assist team members in writing and entering Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
  • Assist in evaluating non-conforming components by conducting dimensional analysis and sorting materials.
  • Write Corrective Action Requests (CARs) for audits and assist employees in reporting problems.
  • Report violations of ISO Standards to the Quality Manager.
  • Participate in the prototype review process for newly developed products.
  • Review supplier documentation including dimensional analysis, certifications, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) data.
  • Develop and maintain necessary documentation and assist in its control.
  • Engage in communication and cooperation with cross-functional teams to meet quality standards and shipment deadlines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Pay and Benefits
