Job summary

Cooper Equipment Rentals is seeking a customer-oriented individual to join our team in Airdrie, Alberta. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair generator systems and related components, using diagnostics to isolate faults and ensure performance to spec.

This role requires a Registered Heavy Equipment Technician Apprentice, a Class 5 license (and Class 3 preferred), and the ability to work overtime as needed. We offer comprehensive benefits and a stable, year‑round schedule.

Qualifications

• Registered Heavy Equipment Technician Apprentice status is required.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for team and customers.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders with supervisor and plan repair steps.
• Inspect generator systems and automotive components with diagnostic devices.
• Repair/replace parts of generator systems and related subsystems.
• Test repaired systems against manufacturer specifications and perform preventive maintenance.
• Explain work performed and future repair needs to customers.
