Job summary

Kieswetter Excavating Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for full-time work across Southern Ontario, primarily in the Waterloo Region.

You will operate excavators, dozers, and other heavy equipment on active civil sites, perform daily inspections, and coordinate with the site supervisor on layout and production targets. The role requires a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, prior heavy equipment experience, and the stamina for long shifts; overtime and weekend work are

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites.
• Experience operating heavy equipment in construction, excavation, or similar outdoor trades.
• Working knowledge of grades, levels, and trenching.
• Physical stamina for full days on active job sites.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, dozers, or other heavy equipment on active civil sites.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance checks.
• Read and work to grade stakes, levels, and trenching plans.
• Flag and communicate equipment issues or unsafe site conditions immediately.
• Follow Kieswetter's safety program and site-specific protocols.
• Coordinate with the site supervisor on project layout, locates, and daily production targets.
